Maternity Pics

This weekend Adrienne and I photographed our good friend Heather and her daughter Avery. Avery just turned 2 so it was time for some new photos, since she is growing so fast. And Miss Heather is due come July so some maternity photos were also needed! It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon at Spring Creek Gardens and then a field near my SIL house to finish it off.

This weekend Adrienne and I went to photograph some good friends. They are currently a family of 3 (well 4 including Montana, sorry Tana), but in 6 short weeks they will be welcoming a new baby to their family.  We took this opportunity to photograph their adorable family in their new home while also doing some fun maternity pics of Tara.  I know you can't tell by looking at her that her baby is due in just 6 week, she looks amazing, and is ALL belly (lucky girl)!  It was a great experience for Adrienne and I bc we shot mostly inside their home, which is not our usual.  But it was rainy and cold here today so we didn't have much of a choice! And for something different we also played around in their amazing kitchen, Spiro had a blast playing in the flour with his Mommy & Daddy!  None-the-less we did get some great photos that I hope they can cherish forever.

Introducing my new nephew Brevin Jered

He was born on Feb 28th 2011 which also happens to be his BIG sister Ellia's Bday and my sister Traci's Bday~ must be an exceptional day!
Christy allowed me into their home just 6 days after his birth to capture some photos. I was surprised at how awake and alert he was during most the session. He was quite the charmer!!

1+1+1=Triplet Fun!

Last weekend my partner and I got to shoot the triplets. One boy, and two girls. WOW was it a busy day! The parents and grandparents were there to help get the babies attention which was a great help! Here is a sneak peek at the trio!

Mother-Daughter Family Picture time!

Last weekend I met up with my cousin Pam and her daughter Elizabeth to do some Mother-Daughter family pictures. It was so nice to get some fresh new scenery in Longmont, CO. They were so fun and open and laughing with each other that it really made my job easy! The weather was pretty amazing for a mid December day the weekend before Christmas; It was 50 degrees, sunny and nice!! Here is a peek of my favs from that day.

Introducing my partner Adrienne!

I know I mentioned briefly below that I was now shooting with a partner so I wanted to elaborate on that more bc this is new. Adrienne is a friend of mine that I met through a friend when we were both pregnant. We both had a love for photography and decided to trade and do each others maternity pictures (some of mine you will see on my FB page). Once we did that for each other we kept in touch exchanging ideas and tips of the trade. Before too long we were dreaming up ways to start an actual business together. And so together we have collaborated and have gotten quite a bit of business together. So until we get an actual business name and website up and running you will see me post photography updates here and mention Adrienne often. It feels great to have a partner to bounce ideas around with, and a friend who can understand the importance of family, friends, jobs and photography also!
you can find her blog at rachiephotography.blogspot.com
We are also working on a website that should follow soon. So stay tuned

More family pics, tis the season!

Its that time of year for holiday cards to go out and so the need for family pictures has picked up! I took pictures of my good friends the Brubakers with their two darling children, Brody and Brooklyn. While shooting two younger kids with NO help was challenging I think I got some good pics!
